Four Orioles selected to play in American Legion All-Star game

The Augusta American Legion Orioles will send four players to this weekend’s Cen-Ark AAA All-Star Game at McPherson. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.Representing the Orioles at the game will be pitcher-infielder Christian Ingalls, centerfielder-pitcher Wade McHone, third baseman-pitcher Seth Smith and catcher Jeff Scharff. It is Ingalls’ and McHone’s second time to be selected to the all-star team.
Ingalls leads the Orioles with a .524 batting average, and also leads in RBIs, triples, ERA and hits.
Smith leads our team in on-base percentage, strikeouts, and also is tied with Ingalls in hits.
McHone leads the team in doubles, home runs, stolen bases and runs scored, and also is tied with Ingalls in triples.
No statistics for Scharff was available at press time.
